COVID19 UPDATE

Portage Center for the Arts

Covid-19 Protocol

Updated 6/1/2021

Portage Center for the Arts is committed to the health and safety of our patrons, staff and volunteers as we look forward to expanding the reopening of programs to the community.

Zona Gale Young People’s Theatre

Given the vulnerable student population participating in the ZGYPT summer workshops beginning in June, and attending theatre rehearsals and performances through August, masks and social distancing will still be required for everyone, adults and students alike, regardless of vaccination status.

Beginning in September, based on new guidance from the U.S. Centers for Disease Control, individuals who have been fully vaccinated are welcomed to enter and participate in our programs without wearing a mask and without need to socially distance. We recommend that individuals who have not completed their vaccination wear masks and maintain social distance.

We will not require proof of vaccination but ask that patrons be responsible and respectful of others. Individuals should assess their level of risk and determine whether to attend an event or wear a mask for the health and safety of themselves or others.

Staff and volunteers will wear masks. Masks and hand sanitizer will be readily available. We will continue with cleaning and sanitation of high-touch shared surfaces.

While the Center welcomes all who wish to participate, we reserve the right to limit the capacity as needed or as circumstances dictate. We will continue to monitor the situation of Covid-19 in our community and reevaluate our guidelines as the situation changes.

We thank you in advance for your patience, as staff are working both in office and remotely at this time.  We will respond to your requests as soon as we can!  We are currently holding regular office and gallery hours, Wed-Fri from 1-5pm only.

And thank you for your continued support of the ARTS!

We look forward to seeing you again soon.  Be Well!
