Muriel and Arlen Aldridge.

Soon after they were married, Arlen and Muriel found themselves embarking on separate lives; he to the Pacific, she to parenthood. As the months pass by, they find that the only means they have to build their relationship is the letters they exchange, two maps inscribed with the titles of music they love, and the dream they share that one day they will be together.

This two person show, originally commissioned by the Commonweal Theatre Company and based on the real life story of a couple from Lanesboro, MN, reminds us that the greatest attribute of the World War II generation is commitment. Filled with music and memories, laughter and tears, this story is sure to resonate with veterans and their families, regardless of their age, and be an inspiration to us all.

Assigning song titles to the islands, to circumvent the censors.	The letters they share are like a conversation across the ocean.
In addition to Muriel, Amanda plays Muriel's sister, Angela...	...as well as Muriel's friend, Linda-Jane. .
In addition to Arlen, Rob plays Fred, aka "Fritz..."	...as well as Morley. .
They share his daydreams...	...and hers.
They experience joys...	...and pain...
...longing...	...and frustration.
