I’ve been a member of the PCA Board of Trustees for ten years. I currently serve on the Executive Committee, the Friends/Fund-raising Committee, and the Performing Arts Committee. I was Vice-president of the Board from 2001-2003, and President from 2003-2005.
I am employed by the Baraboo Schools as the District’s Guidance Coordinator/Middle School Counselor. In the past, I have served on the UW-Sauk County/Baraboo Advisory Board, the Hope House Board of Directors, and the Wisconsin Association for Middle Level Education Board. I currently serve on the Board of the Portage Country Club.
I am married to Jon Kuse, and we have two adult sons, Ben and Ted.
I believe that the arts inspire our spirits, strengthen our community, and enlarge our world. The Portage Center for the Arts makes performances, visual arts exhibits, and arts education accessible to people of all ages in our community and the surrounding area. It provides opportunities for all of us to practice lifelong learning.

I have been on the Board of Trustees for over 18 years. I serve as the Chair of the Nominating Committee and serve on the Visual Arts, Marketing & Promotion, and Friends & Fund Raising Committees. Past roles also include co-Chair of the Visual Arts Committee.
I am a retired Kindergarten teacher and have been a pre-school story hour reader, hospital volunteer, and member of the Civic League.
My family includes husband, Charles J. (deceased), son, Robert (deceased), and daughter Mary Ellen Sensenbrenner.
In my own life with early exposure to art I realized the joy my appreciation has brought me. We are surrounded by art whether it is the view from our window, a play at the Zona Gale Theatre, a painting by a local artist, a concert by the Zona Gale Singers, or a Broadway play, an opera or a masterpiece in Italy. The arts broaden and enrich a person's whole life. I would like to think the PCA helps expose the children and adults of the Portagte area to many forms of art.

I know that where the Arts flourish, communities thrive. The Arts bring diverse people together and the Portage Center for the Arts is a place where young and old, rich and poor, people of all kinds are welcome to express themselves through the Arts and be enriched by the Arts.
